KNOW YOUR ART - VINCENT AND THE ‘ALMOND BLOSSOM’: MARBLING ON CANVAS - 10TH SEPTEMBER 2017
We swirled away paints on canvas and play with colours to create a stunning version of the Almond Blossoms, the painting that brought awakening and hope to Vincent Van Gogh.
KNOW YOUR ART KNIFE PAINTING: MONET'S WATERLILIES 23RD JULY,2017
We kept aside the brushes and grabbed some knives. As close to nature as possible we painted Claude Monet's radiant Water Lilies, a fine example of French Impressionism.
KNOW YOUR ART SUMMER CAMP MONDAY 24TH - FRIDAY 28TH APRIL, 2017 & MONDAY 5TH - FRIDAY 9TH JUNE, 2017
An enthusiastic bunch of kids, interested to learn more about the master artists joined us for this summer workshop. Each day we created art from a specific genre ranging from American Modernism, Post-Impressionism, Pop Art, Indian Modern art and Fauvism. A similar programme with different works will be conducted from June5-9th. Do enrol if your child has missed it, appropriate for ages 5-11.
ADULT PAINTING WORKSHOPS SUNDAY 16TH APRIL, 12PM-3PM DOOLALLY, KEMPS CORNER
A tempestuous work by Vincent Van Gogh, we discussed why he painted the Seascape with Sailboats. Our young audience recreated their own version of the work, on a lazy sunday afternoon.
ADULT PAINTING WORKSHOPS WEDNESDAY 12TH APRIL, 7PM - 9PM CYMROZA ART GALLERY
An evening session of painting, 'The Almond Blossoms', that brought hope and awakening to Vincent Van Gogh. We had lively group of adults aged 9-99 join us to create this marvellous work. With a lot of inspiration from Van Gogh everyone created their own version of the Almond Blossoms.
KNOW YOUR ART - Henri Matisse 6th FEB, 2017
A craft workshop was organized on 6th Feb, 2017 at the CSMVS Garden, Mumbai as part of the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival. The children learnt about the master artist Henri Matisse and his technique of ‘Drawing with Scissors’. Between age 6-12 years we had 48 children attend the workshop. Using a pair of scissor the children recreated the famous collage “The fall of Icarus’ from the book of collages, Jazz, by Matisse. The children took home the collage of Icarus in flight along with a host of trivia on the artist.

STARRY STARRY NIGHTS 16 July, 2016
During the monsoons we choose an indoor venue for this Know Your Art workshop on Vincent Van Gogh. The children painted away a night scene of cobalt, prussian and a sky blue. We discussed fun facts about the Starry Night painting and compared it to the Starry Night on the Rhone, two of Van Goghs famous artworks. As Vincent would’ve said the ‘stars shone like gemstones in the night’.
The workshop ended with a reading of ‘Katie and the Starry Night’ while we gave away certificates of achievement to our young stars of the evening.
Holiday Fun: Vincent Van Gogh's 'SUNFLOWERS'
KnowYourArt celebrated summer holiday by organising a refreshing workshop on Van Gogh's sunflowers in the beautiful outdoor space, Shantivan Gardens at Napean Sea Road in Mumbai on June 4, 2016.
The workshop ended with a reading of a story based on 'Camille and the Sunflowers'.
Summer Fun: Vincent and the 'Sunflowers'
KnowYourArt celebrated the onset of summer by organising a refreshing workshop on Van Gogh's sunflowers in the beautiful outdoor space, Shantivan Gardens at Napean Sea Road in Mumbai on April 30, 2016.
The children learnt about Vincent Van Gogh, why he painted the Sunflowers, where the paintings are now along with a step-by-step drawing guide and created their own version of the famous painting.
The workshop ended with a reading of a story based on The Sunflowers.
KNOW YOUR ART - VINCENT VAN GOGH
An art workshop was organised on 11 Feb, 2016 at the CSMVS Museum Garden, Mumbai. The children learnt about master artist Vincent Van Gogh's dramatic style of painting in thick impasto strokes in a fun way by recreating some of his art. Between the ages 5-10 years we had 55 children attend the workshop. The children took home their own version of the Sunflowers painted in acrylic on canvas alongwith abundant trivia on the artist.
