When you hear a sound does it stimulate other senses like visual or tastes? If so you are blessed with synesthesia. A lucky condition that the great master artist Wassily Kandinsky shared. He could hear music and translate the sounds on canvas using vibrant colours. A brilliant blue, a sombre yellow, a roaring red were they inspired by the sounds of the cello? At the Kala Ghoda Arts festival we introduced Kandinsky’s art to our young audience and inspired them to create their work listening to music we choose.
