Art Explorer: Trash-Asura by Arzan Khambhatta

Art Explorer / View a unique installation

Most symbols of evil can be destroyed. But not plastic. It lives on, adding to the waste that is choking our planet.

This installation is on view until 9th October 2019 at Carter Road, Mumbai and has been created by the noted sculptor Arzan Khambhatta. Sponsored by MTV, this avtar of evil, ‘Trashasura’ has been created from 1000kgs of waste plastic collected and cleaned up, which has been up-cycled into utilities that will continue to be useful long after the installation has been dismantled.

Sometimes evil can be repurposed into a good force.
